Ingredients

  • 2 c
    sweet tea
  • 1 c
    uncooked long grain rice
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1/2 c
    chopped pecans
  • 1
    large jalapeno, peeled and diced
  • 1
    large fresh peach, peeled and diced
  • 1 Tbsp
    fresh chives, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper

How to Make Sweet Tea Rice with Jalapeno. Peaches, and Pecans

Step-by-Step

  1. Bring tea to a boil, stir in rice and 1/2 tsp salt. Cover, reduce heat to low and simmer 20 minutes, until tea is absorbed.
  2. Meanwhile, melt butter over medium heat, add pecans, and cook, stirring constantly, until toasted, 3-4 minutes. Add jalapeno and saute 1 minute.
  3. Stir in hot cooked rice, peaches, chives, salt, and pepper.
