Ingredients

  • 2 cups sweet tea
  • 1 cup uncooked long grain rice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 - large jalapeno, peeled and diced
  • 1 - large fresh peach, peeled and diced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

How To Make sweet tea rice with jalapeno. peaches, and pecans

  • Step 1
    Bring tea to a boil, stir in rice and 1/2 tsp salt. Cover, reduce heat to low and simmer 20 minutes, until tea is absorbed.
  • Step 2
    Meanwhile, melt butter over medium heat, add pecans, and cook, stirring constantly, until toasted, 3-4 minutes. Add jalapeno and saute 1 minute.
  • Step 3
    Stir in hot cooked rice, peaches, chives, salt, and pepper.
