I love rice and have many different recipes with which to make it. This is one of my favorites. Enjoy.

Ingredients

  • 2
    8 oz. cans tomato sauce
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • 1/2 c
    onion, finely chopped
  • 1/3 c
    green bell pepper, diced
  • 1/4 c
    butter or bacon drippings
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    prepared yellow mustard
  • 1/4 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1-1/2 c
    basmati rice
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground cumin, optonal

How to Make Spanish Rice

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine tomato sauce, water, onion, green pepper, butter, salt, sugar, mustard and pepper in saucepan. Cover and bring to full boil. Stir in rice and cook until done. Stir with fork and serve.
