~ savory basmati saffron rice ~ cassies
One of my favorite rices. I made a spiced shrimp, that I ladled over top. So, so good! This rice could be served as a side with any meat. Yum!

Ingredients
- 1 cup basmati rice
- handful - mixed vegetables, frozen
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 - 1 teaspoons chicken buillon
- 1 tablespoon dried, minced onion
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon butter
- couple pinch saffron - crumbled
How To Make ~ savory basmati saffron rice ~ cassies

Step 1Rinse the Basmati rice and drain. In a medium saucepan, add all ingredients and stir. Bring to a boil then turn heat to simmer. Place a lid over pan and simmer for 15 minutes. If liquid is not absorbed, simmer a bit longer.

Step 2Fluff with fork and serve immediately. Delicious!
