My family adores this rice recipe. We usually eat it with chicken but it is also good with pork. My favorite part of this recipe is that (after browning the pasta) I dump everything in the rice cooker and let it do all the work!

Ingredients

basmatti rice
3/4 c
vermicelli pasta, broken into small pieces
1/2 tsp
black pepper
1/2 tsp
original mrs. dash with no salt
2 c
chicken broth
1/4 c
butter

How to Make Rice Pilaf

Step-by-Step

  • 1Melt the butter in a small saucepan. Add the vermicelli and cook on low heat until the pasta begins to take on a brownish color, about 3-5 minutes.
  • 2Add the vermicelli to a rice cooker. Add the rice, pepper, Mrs. Dash, and chicken broth.
  • 3Cook in the rice cooker until rice is done. Fluff the rice and serve hot.
