My family adores this rice recipe. We usually eat it with chicken but it is also good with pork. My favorite part of this recipe is that (after browning the pasta) I dump everything in the rice cooker and let it do all the work!

Ingredients
- 1 cup basmatti rice
- 3/4 cup vermicelli pasta, broken into small pieces
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon original mrs. dash with no salt
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1/4 cup butter
How To Make rice pilaf

Step 1Melt the butter in a small saucepan. Add the vermicelli and cook on low heat until the pasta begins to take on a brownish color, about 3-5 minutes.

Step 2Add the vermicelli to a rice cooker. Add the rice, pepper, Mrs. Dash, and chicken broth.

Step 3Cook in the rice cooker until rice is done. Fluff the rice and serve hot.
