Ingredients
- 2 cups basmati or long grain rice
- 3 1/2 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 - of a small onion, finely diced
- 2 tablespoons celery, diced small
- 2/3 cup red bell pepper, diced small
- - finely chopped carrots to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, or to taste
- 1 - bay leaf
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
How To Make rice pilaf

Step 1Wash rice well and drain. In a large saucepan, heat chicken broth and butter to boiling and add vegetables and spices. Cook until tender.

Step 2Add rice and cook on low for 20 minutes or until rice is fluffy and tender. Add more butter if desired.
