Excellent kugel which can be prepared ahead and reheated. A change from plain rice. My grandmother always made this dish on holidays.

Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked rice (1 cup raw)
- 4 - eggs
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 4 cups milk
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1 - apple (optional)
How To Make rice kugel

Step 1Cook rice for 20 minutes. Strain. Beat in eggs. Add sugar, vanilla, milk and raisins.

Step 2Grease 9 X 13 inch baking dish with 4 tbsp. butter. Pour mixture into baking dish. Dot mixture with 4 tbsp. butter. Slice apple thinly and place on top of mixture (optional)

Step 3Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
