Ingredients

  • 2 packages okra (sliced)
  • 1 stalk curry leaves
  • 1 - red chili (remove seeds and sliced)
  • 1 - red onion (thinly sliced)
  • 3 cloves garlic (thinly sliced)
  • 4 tablespoons oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon curry powder

How To Make okra stir-fry

  • Step 1
    Heat the wok and pour 4 tablespoons of oil, saute the fennel, sliced garlic, onions, red chili and curry leaves until fragrant with lower heat.
  • Step 2
    Add the sliced okras and give them a couple of stirs. Now, add half teaspoon of turmeric powder, 1 tablespoon of chili powder, 1 tablespoon of curry powder and stir well. (PS: OCCASIONALLY SPRINKLE SOME WATER WHILE STIRRING)
  • Step 3
    Add a pinch of salt. Give the dish a final stir and its ready to be served with steaming hot white rice.
