dirty rice
This rice is expected at every family gathering, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas, and it is so easy to make. I love that I can get it started and have it cooking while I work on something else. I usually use Uncle Ben's Long Grain rice because it doesn't stick together like so many others do. The water that I add is not specifically necessary, but sometimes the rice is a little dry if I don't add it.
