Good old fashioned, Southern stewed potatoes. Funny, I hated these as a kid because they weren't mashed potatoes, but now that I'm older, I love em! They remind me of my grandma. She made them all the time!

Ingredients
- 1-2 pound potatoes, peeled & diced
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 stick butter
- 1 tablespoon bacon grease
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup reserved water from boiling potatoes.
- 2 tablespoons flour
How To Make stewed potatoes

Step 1Boil potatoes until just done. Drain, reserve 1 cup of water. Put potatoes back into pot.

Step 2Mix 2 Tbsp. flour into reserved water and pour into potatoes.

Step 3add salt, pepper, milk, bacon grease, butter, and onion powder. Turn heat to low.

Step 4stir gently over low heat until thickened.
