- 6 - russet potatoes peeled and slice 1/4 inch thick
- 1 large onion sliced into rings
- 1 stick butter
- 8 ounces sour cream
- 1 package onion soup mix
- 8 ounces cracker barrel sharp cheddar cheese
- 8 ounces cracker barrel vermont sharp cheddar cheese
How To Make smothered cottage fries

Step 1Add butter to large skillet. Fry the potatoes and onion until browned and softened.

Step 2Mix the sour cream with the onion soup mix. Add the cheeses and pour over potatoes. cook until cheese is a melted.
