Ingredients
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon ground dry mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
- 2 cups half and half
- 6 cups yukon gold potatoes, thinly sliced
- 2 - onions, julienne
- 2 cups sharp white shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 cups sharp yellow shredded cheddar cheese
How To Make au gratin potatoes

Step 1Melt butter in saucepan. Add flour and brown lightly. Add dry mustard, white pepper and half and half. Heat until it starts to thicken.

Step 2Layer potatoes, onion, cheese, and sauce in a 13x9 pan. I do three layers.

Step 3Bake at 350 degrees covered for 45 minutes, uncovered for additionall 15-30 minutes until the top looks a little crusty
