Ingredients

2 1/2 lb
thinly sliced potatoes
2 c
thinly sliced onion

CHEESE SAUCE

9 Tbsp
unsalted butter
6 Tbsp
all-purpose flour
4 c
milk
2 c
shredded sharp cheddar

BREAD CRUMB TOPPING MIXTURE

1 c
bread crumbs
2 Tbsp
granulated garlic
2 Tbsp
onion powder
1 oz
melted butter

How to Make Scalloped Potatoes

Step-by-Step

  • 1Slice Potatoes and onion. Layer in pan.
  • 2Cheese Sauce:
    In sauces pot melt butter and add flour. Than add milk and cook til thicken.

    Than add cheese and cook till cheese is melted. Pour over potatoes and onion.
  • 3Bread Crumb Topping:
    Mix together bread crumbs, granulated garlic, onion powder and melted butter.

    Top potato,onion, and cheese sauce, Cover with tin foil and bake a 400 degrees for about 1 hour. Remove tin foil and cook an another 10 minutes till golden brown. Let set for 10 minutes and serve.
