Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients

6 mediumred potatoes, washed and cut in half

1 1/4 cwhole milk

2 tspgarlic powder with parsley

3/4 tspground pepper, or more to taste

3 Tbspunsalted butter

2 stalk(s)green onion, small dice

2 qtwater

How to Make Garlic Mashed Potatoes
- Scrub, wash, and cut in half the potatoes. (Leave the skins on.) In a large boiling pot, bring 2 qts. water, 1 teas. olive oil, and 1 teas. salt to a boil.
- Add potatoes and boil until you can easily puncture with a fork. (12 to 15 minutes) Drain into a colander.
- Add the butter into a large serving bowl. Pour the potatoes on top of the butter and allow it to melt about 2 minutes. Mash the potatoes down with a fork.
- Add garlic powder, salt, ground pepper, and milk. Blend with a mixer until potatoes are smooth and creamy. Add the green onions and mix with a spoon until blended well.
- If potatoes are too thick, add more milk a TBLS. at a time. Add more salt and ground pepper to taste if desired.
