Ingredients
- 6 - medium potatoes, russet
- 1 - small thinly sliced onion
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon flour
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 4 slices american cheese

Step 1Pare and thinly slice potatoes. Toss slices into the water and cream of tartar for 10 mins. Drain.

Step 2Put half of the sliced potatoes into greased crock pot. Top with half of the onion slices, half of flour, half of salt and pepper. Add the remaining potatoes and remaining onions, flour, salt and pepper. Add butter and cream of mushroom soup. NOTE: You may also use a clay baker in the oven and get a good result. Keep the temp under 350 and start checking at 2 hrs as all ovens very.

Step 3Cover and cook on LOW for 7-9 hours or HIGH for 3-4 hours. Add cheese slices 30 minutes before serving.
