cheezy scalloped potatoes
My family LOVES these potatoes! I have never really had a taste for "scalloped potatoes" guess I never cared for the white creamy curdled looking stuff, BUT found these again on FB and these are again...(singing) AMAZINGGGGG!! I made them for Thanksgiving this year and of course there was none left for leftovers.

Ingredients
- 4 cups thinly sliced potatoes
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 dashes cayenne or red pepper
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese (kraft)
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese to sprinkle on top
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
How To Make cheezy scalloped potatoes

Step 1IN A SMALL SAUCE PAN, MELT BUTTER AND BLEND IN FLOUR, LET SET FOR A MINUTE

Step 2ADD THE MILD, STIRRING WITH A WHISK, ADD SALT AND CAYENNE PEPPER.

Step 3COOK SAUCE ON LOW UNTIL SMOOTH AND BOILING, STIRRING OCCASIONALLY WITH A WHISK.

Step 4REDUCE HEAT AND STIR IN CHEESE (1 CUP)

Step 5PUT THE SLICED POTATOES IN A GREASED 1 QUART CASSEROLE DISH.

Step 6POUR THE CHEESE SAUCE OVER THE POTATOES.

Step 7SPRINKLE THE REMAINING CHEESE ON TOP (1/2 CUP) AND PAPRIKA

Step 8BAKE UNCOVERED FOR ABOUT AN HOUR AT 350
