  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary - optional
  • 3/4 - 1 cups frenches, french fried onions

How To Make cheesy potato & green onion casserole

  • Step 1
Poke your potatoes with a fork and boil in salted water until centers are tender. Drain and cool. Once cool, peel and shred...I either use my grater or food processor. In a large bowl, combine potatoes, onions, seasonings, sour cream and 1 1/2 cups cheese.
  • Don't hesitate to add 1- to 1 1/2 pounds of cooked chopped meat or sausage. Add a salad for a good meal! Thanks, Cassie!
    Step 2
Preheat oven to 375 degree F. Grease a large casserole dish, I use my 3 quart corning casserole. Could also use a 9 x 13 baking dish. Spread potato mixture into prepared dish. Bake for approx, 30 minutes - sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup cheese and then french fried onions - place back in oven and continue baking until top is browning and bubbly. Serve hot...enjoy!
