Ingredients

potatoes (peeled)
1 c
shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 c
milk
2 Tbsp
butter
1
8 oz carton sour cream
1/4 c
chopped onion
1 tsp
salt
1/4 tsp
pepper or to taste
cooked and chopped bacon (optional)

How to Make Cheesy Potato Cassarole

Step-by-Step

  • 1Cook potatoes and mash with a fork. Combine cheese, butter and milk in a saucepan and cook over low heat until butter and cheese melts.
  • 2Remove from heat and stir in sour cream, onions, salt, pepper and cooked bacon (if you are using it). Fold in potatoes.
  • 3Put mixture in a 2 quart casserole and dot with butter. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
