These are easy and my family loves them. Things don't have to be hard to make to taste good.

Ingredients For cheesy potato cassarole

  • 6
    potatoes (peeled)
  • 1 c
    shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1
    8 oz carton sour cream
  • 1/4 c
    chopped onion
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper or to taste
  • cooked and chopped bacon (optional)

How To Make cheesy potato cassarole

  • 1
    Cook potatoes and mash with a fork. Combine cheese, butter and milk in a saucepan and cook over low heat until butter and cheese melts.

    Remove from heat and stir in sour cream, onions, salt, pepper and cooked bacon (if you are using it). Fold in potatoes.

    Put mixture in a 2 quart casserole and dot with butter. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
