cheesy hashbrowns - delicious!
Yum! Love these potatoes...whats not to love? I've added bacon and at times added ham too, to make it more of a meal, than a side! Always add some onion...My mom gave me this recipe many years ago and as always, I had to mess with the recipe a bit...lol!...hope you enjoy it as much as we do... Delicious! Enjoy!

Ingredients
- 1 - 28 /32 ounces chunky hashbrowns or can use regular / i highly recommend o'brien style chunk potatoes w/ peppers and onions
- 1 1/4 cups whipping cream or more if desire for the larger bag of hashbrowns
- 1/2 stick butter or 4 tablespoons, melted
- 2 cups shedded swiss cheese
- 1 cup cheddar cheese - i use sharp
- chopped - onion - optional
- pinch - thyme, dried
- pinch - nutmeg
- salt - & pepper to taste
How To Make cheesy hashbrowns - delicious!

Step 1Preheat oven to 400 degree F. Place hash browns in a greased 9 x 13 baking dish.

Step 2I then salt, pepper and add the thyme and nutmeg to the whipping cream. Pour over the potatoes.

Step 3Pour melted butter over potatoes.

Step 4I then mix the cheeses and sprinkle them over top of the potatoes, evenly. Usually I sprinkle the top with chives or parsley.

Step 5Bake for 45 - 60 minutes or until potatoes are cooked and top is golden.
