- 6 - fresh sweet potatoes
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- - salt to taste
- - butter or margarine
- **PREHEAT OVEN TO 425 DEGREES**
How To Make candied sweet potatoes

Step 1Cook potatoes (skins on) in a large pot of boiling water until almost tender (semi-hard). Peel the potatoes when cooled. Slice potatoes into about 1/4 inch rounds.

Step 2Make a syrup of the brown sugar and water. Dip the potato rounds in the syrup and line in a greased large casserole dish. Season with salt and thin slices of butter. Pour any of the remaining syrup over the potatoes. Bake until potatoes are brown. (quick process)
