beef stroganoff

This recipe is different from alot of stroganoff recipes but it works for me and my family. It's especially great with mashed potatoes on the side or even over mashed potatoes, yum! We hope you enjoy it!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil (or vegetable oil)
  • 10 ounces mushrooms jar/can drained
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 package beef stroganoff seasoning
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 bag egg noodles
  • 1 tablespoon all purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups milk 2 % or your preference
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (sprinkle of pepper too)

How To Make beef stroganoff

  • Step 1
    Start egg noodles water in sauce pan and then begin cooking the meat, cook it in a skillet on medium heat with 2 tbsp of oil, make sure to strain the hamburger once its cooked. Set aside both grease & meat seperately.
  • Step 2
    Add egg noodles to water when its boiling and cook according to package. While your doing that, take 1-2 tbsp of the hamburger grease & put it in a skillet(for extra flavor) with 1 tbsp of flour and mix, then add the mushrooms, minced garlic, milk, both seasoning packets and mix well, and lastly add the cooked hamburger then simmer for about 5-7 minutes then remove from heat and stir in the sour cream, salt & pepper to your liking.
  • Step 3
    finally add the meat mixture with the noodles & serve.
