velvetta macaroni and cheese

This is a simple recipe that my family loves. They like to top it with BK seasoning which is a seasoned salt.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb - macaroni, elbow
  • 16 ounces velvetta cheese
  • 1 cup milk or half and half
  • 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened

How To Make velvetta macaroni and cheese

  • Step 1
    I do this all in a non stick pot. I cook the Macaroni as directed on the package then I drain it and put back in pot. While it is still hot I cut up the Velvetta in pieces and stir into hot Macaroni and let melt. Then add the butter.
  • Step 2
    Then I salt, pepper and add dry mustard. Once the cheese is melted I add the milk and stir it up. Simmer on low heat.
  • Step 3
    We like to sprinkle with BK seasoning, or a seasoned salt.
