    2 cups elbow pasta cooked till al dente
  • ·
    8 oz cheddar 1/2 cubed 1/2 shredded
  • ·
    8 oz colby cubed
  • ·
    8 oz monterey pepper jack cheese cubed
  • ·
    2 teas all purpose flour
  • ·
    1/2 teas salt and ground black pepper
  • ·
    1/2 teas cayenne pepper
  • ·
    1/2 teas dry mustard
  • ·
    1/8 fresh ground nutmeg
  • ·
    4 tablespoons sour cream
  • ·
    1 large egg beaten
  • ·
    1 cup heavy cream
  • ·
    1 cup half and half

How to Make Spicy macaroni and cheese


  1. In a large bowl toss together the pasta and cheese cubes and pour into 2 quart baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl mix together the flour,salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, dry mustard, nutmeg. Are teas sour, egg, heavy cream, half and half. Pour over the pasta and cover with the shredded cheese. Bake at 350, uncovered till the top is beginning to Brown, about 35 minutes.
  3. Spread with panko, if desired and brown approximately 10 minutes.
