A quick and tasty Mac & Cheese...Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces pasta - i use elbow mac
  • 1/4 cup each - butter & flour
  • Kosher - salt & pepper - about 1/2 tsp salt is what i use - pepper to taste
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese - i used extra sharp white cheddar
  • Pinch - nutmeg
  • xtra - cheese for finishing if broiling

How To Make ~ ez mac & cheese ~

  • Step 1
    First, prepare your macaroni according to package. In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour salt & pepper and cook for about 1 minute. Slowly whisk in the milk. Continue to cook until bubbly and thickening. Stir in the cheese and cook until melted. Stir in a pinch of nutmeg or however much desired. Add the cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce, stir to coat. I then place in a medium sized oven proof casserole and sprinkle a handful of cheddar cheese. Broil until golden and bubbly. Serve immediately. Note: you can skip the broiling at the end. It's ready to serve after mixing with cheese sauce.
