This recipe is from a cookbook that was published from my daughters grade school.We all sent in our favorite recipes.The baked macaroni and cheese is a comforting dish.I have also used crushed buttered crackers on top,and also used texas toast tortilla strips chile lime crushed on top and that gives the baked macaroni and cheese a different kick. Enjoy

Ingredients

  • - 8 0z.elbow macaroni
  • - 1 1/4 cups of milk
  • - 1 egg
  • - 1 tsp. salt
  • - 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • - 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • - 8 0z. sharp cheddar cheese
  • - dash of paprika

How To Make baked macaroni and cheese

  • Step 1
    Cook Macaroni
  • Step 2
    Combine milk, egg, salt, dry mustard and pepper in a buttered casserole dish
  • Step 3
    Stir in cooked macaroni and half of the cheddar cheese.
  • Step 4
    Top with remaining cheese and sprinkle your paprika on top.
  • Step 5
    Bake at 350 degr. for 40 mins until top is golden brown
