This delicious macaroni and cheese recipe was given to me by a long-time co-worker. It is baked and uses Cheddar Cheese instead of Velveeta or American cheese.

How to Make Baked Macaroni and Cheddar Cheese - Steph


  1. Cook macaroni and drain. Grease a 9 x 13" baking dish or casserole dish and add macaroni. Mix the butter, flour, grated onion, salt and dash of pepper together.
  2. Add four cups of milk and stir well. Add three cups of the cheddar cheese and stir until cheese melts. Pour this mixture over the macaroni.
  3. Sprinkle the remaining one cup of cheddar cheese over top. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 - 25 minutes (covered); 20 - 25 minutes (uncovered).
  4. Even better after the second or third day. ENJOY!!!
