This is an old family recipe for stuffing. Delicious!

Ingredients

  • 1 - loaf of bread, diced and set out the night before
  • 1 cup finely chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 8 cups dried bread crumbs
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup water

How To Make old fashioned stuffing

  • Step 1
    The night before, dice up a loaf of bread and let it sit out.
  • Step 2
    Dice Celery and Onion. In a skillet, cook celery, onion, and butter until tender. Stir in poultry seasoning and a pinch of salt and pepper.
  • Step 3
    In a 2 qt. casserole dish, add bread and pour onion and celery mixture over it. Dribble with broth and water to moisten. Stir. Cook at 325 degrees for 45 min.
