nana's spaetzle - german dumplings
My German Nana used to make these by pushing the batter through a spaetzle maker or large plane grater into boiling water.

Ingredients
- 3 - eggs
- 2 cups flour
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
How To Make nana's spaetzle - german dumplings

Step 1Beat eggs well; add flour, butter, milk, salt and beat til dough blisters.

Step 2Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Drop batter from a wet spoon into water and let cook til tender (about 15 minutes). Drain, toss with melted butter.

Step 3Note: can also drop into soup to cook.
