I make these all year...although they are always on the menu for our picnics. I bring them out last or my son David would eat them before anybody else would get one.

Ingredients

  • 12 large eggs
  • 5 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 4 tablespoons mustard
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons pepper
  • - paprika for garnish

How To Make my family's favorite deviled eggs

  • Step 1
    Place eggs in large pan. Cover with about 1 inch water. Partially cover pan with a lid. Bring to a boil over high heat.
  • Step 2
    Let eggs boil for about 1 minute. Immediately cover eggs and remove from heat. Let stand covered for 15 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Pour the water off the eggs, then run cold water over them in pan and peel. Slice in half lengthwise. Scoop out egg yolk into bowl.
  • Step 4
    Add mayonnaise, mustard, salt and pepper. Mash gently with fork. Spoon mixture into egg white halves.
  • Step 5
    Garnish with paprika. Serve immediately or refrigerate for several hours and serve cold.
