These are very good. Another thing you can do with them is to fry 3 - 4 pieces of bacon, save the bacon grease and when you saute them in the butter add crumbled bacon and the bacon grease.

Ingredients
- - 1 cup all purpose flour
- - 1/4 cup milk
- - 2 eggs
- - 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- - 1 pinch ground white pepper
- - 1/2 teaspoon salt
- - 1 gallon hot water
- - 2 tablespoons butter
- - 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
How To Make german spaetzle dumplings

Step 1Mix together flour, salt, white pepper and nutmeg. Beat eggs well and add alternately with the milk to the dry ingredients. Mix until smooth.

Step 2Press dough through spaetzle maker, or a large holed sieve or metal grater.

Step 3Drop a few at a time into simmering hot water. Cook 5 - 8 minutes. Drain well.

Step 4Saute cooked spaetzle in butter or margarine. Sprinkle chopped parsley on top and serve.
