This is my husband's own recipe for doctoring up baked beans. It's got a wonderful flavor.

  • 12 oz
    can bush baked beans
  • 1/2 small
    yellow onion, minced
  • 4 slice
    maple bacon, diced
  • 2 Tbsp
    black coffee
  • 1/2 tsp
    chili powder
  • 4 Tbsp
    brown sugar

How to Make Dad's Baked Beans


  1. Cook bacon half way through; add onion and 2 tablespoons of the brown sugar and the chili powder. Add the bacon and onion mixture to the baked beans and heat until bubbly. Add the coffee and remaining brown sugar.
