I love making things from scratch, this is great with mashed potatoes and banquet dinners.

Ingredients
- 1 - head of cabbage, finely chopped
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 tablespoon pepper
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons white vinegar
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
How To Make cole slaw

Step 1Finely chop the cabbage (I use a food processor for this)

Step 2In a large bowl, combine the sugar, salt, pepper, milk, mayonnaise, vinegar and lemon juice. Mix well. Stir in the cabbage. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Step 3Since this has mayonnaise in it, if you plan on having it for a picnic you will need to keep it cold. If it is going to be sitting our for awhile, take a large bowl and put ice in the bottom of it and then sit a smaller bowl (with your coleslaw in it) inside of the larger bowl.
