    head of cabbage, finely chopped
  • 1/3 c
    granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1/8 Tbsp
  • 1/2 c
  • 1/2 c
  • 2 Tbsp
    white vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp
    lemon juice

How to Make Cole Slaw


  1. Finely chop the cabbage (I use a food processor for this)
  2. In a large bowl, combine the sugar, salt, pepper, milk, mayonnaise, vinegar and lemon juice. Mix well. Stir in the cabbage. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
  3. Since this has mayonnaise in it, if you plan on having it for a picnic you will need to keep it cold. If it is going to be sitting our for awhile, take a large bowl and put ice in the bottom of it and then sit a smaller bowl (with your coleslaw in it) inside of the larger bowl.
