A friend gave me this recipe. I had it at their house in the middle of winter and the fresh taste of the cucumbers was really great.

Ingredients

  • 7 cups cucumber sliced
  • 3 cups onions thinly sliced
  • 1 cup cider vinegar
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon celery seed
  • 2 teaspoons mustard seeds

How To Make bread and butter freezer pickles

  • Step 1
    Put the sliced cucumbers and onions in a large bowl.
  • Step 2
    Combine the rest of the ingredients in a saucepan. Heat just to the boiling point. Cool slightly
  • Step 3
    Pour vinegar mixture over the cucumbers and onions stir and refrigerate overnight. Then pack into freezer containers and freeze
