Barb's Garlic Dill Pickle Slices
3 Tbsppickling spice
4 ccider vinegar
1/2 cpickling salt
28 clovegarlic smashed
3 1/2 tspmustard seed
7heads fresh dill or 3/12 tsp. dill weed
14 ccucumbers sliced
How to Make Barb's Garlic Dill Pickle Slices
- Tie the pickling spice in a cheesecloth or use a metal tea basket. Combine vinegar, water, sugar, pickling salt and spice bag in a pot and bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and simmer 15 minutes.
- Meanwhile get 7 pint jars that have been sanitized and place 1 bay leaf in each one, then 4 smashed garlic cloves, 1/2 tsp. mustard seed and 1/2 tsp. dill weed.
- Pack cucumbers in jars and pour the hot liquid over. Process in boiling water bath for 15 minutes
