Ingredients

  • 3 cups sweet potatoes, whole canned
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 stick butter, room temperature
  • TOPPING:
  • 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 5 tablespoons butter
  • 1/3 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped

How To Make sweet potato casserole

  • Step 1
    Combine potatoes, sugar, eggs, vanilla, butter and milk. Beat with mixer until smooth. Pour into buttered 2 1/2 qt. casserole dish or 9 x 11 pan.
  • Step 2
    Topping: mix together with mixer, butter, brown sugar and flour. Stir in chopped pecans and spread over sweet potato mixture. Bake 350 for approximately 30 minutes.
