Ingredients

  • 3 c
    sweet potatoes, whole canned
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1/3 c
    milk
  • 1 stick
    butter, room temperature
  • TOPPING:

  • 1 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 5 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1/3 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 c
    pecans, chopped

How to Make Sweet Potato Casserole

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine potatoes, sugar, eggs, vanilla, butter and milk. Beat with mixer until smooth. Pour into buttered 2 1/2 qt. casserole dish or 9 x 11 pan.
  2. Topping: mix together with mixer, butter, brown sugar and flour. Stir in chopped pecans and spread over sweet potato mixture.
    Bake 350 for approximately 30 minutes.
