Sweet potato casserole is always on our holiday menu. We love the addition of coconut in the topping of this casserole. It's crunchy, gooey, buttery, and sweet... takes sweet potato casserole to a new level. Each bite will melt in your mouth.

Ingredients For sweet potato casserole

  • 3 c
    mashed sweet potatoes
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 2
    eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 stick
    butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • TOPPING:
  • 1/3 stick
    butter, melted
  • 1/2 c
    all-purpose flour
  • 1 c
    brown sugar
  • 1 c
    coconut, shredded

How To Make sweet potato casserole

  • Casserole ingredients combined in a mixer.

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix all ingredients except topping.
  • Filling poured into buttered baking dish.

    Spray 8x8 inch casserole dish with nonstick spray. Pour mixture into pan.
  • Topping ingredients combined in a bowl.

    Mix topping ingredients together.
  • Topping sprinkled over the filling.

    Sprinkle on top of the mixture. Press topping into mixture.
  • Sweet Potato Casserole baking in the oven.

    Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
