This is the way my Mom always made her stuffing. My siblings and I continue to make it just like Mom did. The Bell's Seasoning is what makes this stuffing so good. I usually don't measure the ingredients when I make it, so you'll have to adjust to your taste. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 - celery stalks, chopped
  • 3 - loaves of bread, unsliced
  • 2-3 tablespoons bell's seasoning, or more to taste
  • 1 teaspoon salt, (or to taste)
  • - black pepper
  • 1 - egg
  • 1-2 cup stock or water, i use the stock from giblets

How To Make stuffing

  • Step 1
Tear loaves of bread into pieces in a very large bowl.
  • Step 2
Melt butter in large pot. Chop Celery and onions. Saute until semi-translucent, I like a little bit of body. Pour butter and sauteed veggies over bread.
  • Step 3
Add all other ingredients. Mix thoroughly by hand. Stuff turkey.
  • Step 4
If cooking outside of the turkey, place in a greased casserole dish. Cover with foil. Bake @350 F for 1 Hr. Remove foil and bake 15 min. longer. The temperature should be 165 F.
