smoked gouda cheese grits

My whole family loves this recipe just as I do. I have been eating grits all my life (70 yrs) but I never tasted any as good as this. Gouda cheese is not a staple in most homes but I would walk a mile to get some to put in this recipe. Try this recipe, you won't be sorry!

Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups chicken broth
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 3/4 cup quick cooking grits
- 4 tablespoons butter or margarine
- - garlic , pepper, salt to taste
- 3/4 cup grated smoked gouda cheese
How To Make smoked gouda cheese grits

Step 1Mix the chicken broth and milk in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Add the grits slowly, stirring constantly. Turn the heat down and cover with a lid and cook until grits are done stirring occasionaly. I use quick grits.

Step 2Remove from stove and add additional ingredients. Stir until cheese and butter is melted.

Step 3I like to taste the chicken broth and milk and adjust the seasonings at the beginning.
