This new green bean casserole recipe is filled with the toppings of a Seattle hot dog. It's so delicious, and perfect with baked or fried chicken or steak.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups French fried onions, divided
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound kielbasa sausage, cut into 2-inch pieces and quartered
  • 1 red onion, sliced
  • 4 fresh jalapenos, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons honey mustard
  • 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup (10.75 oz)
  • 3 teaspoons crushed red pepper flakes
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 cans cut green beans, drained (15 oz each)

How To Make seattle green bean casserole

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 3-qt casserole dish. Add 1 cup French fried onions.
  • Step 2
    Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the quartered kielbasa sausages and saute for 5 minutes or until browned. Stir in sliced red onion and chopped jalapenos and saute again for 6 minutes. Remove from the heat, add the honey mustard and set aside.
  • Step 3
    In a large bowl, combine the cream cheese, soup, red pepper flakes and milk; whisk together until blended.
  • Step 4
    Add the green beans, sauteed kielbasa mixture, and cream cheese mixture into the prepared casserole dish; mix well.
  • Step 5
    Bake for 25 minutes until heated through and bubbly. Sprinkle remaining French fried onions on top of the casserole and return to the oven for 5 minutes.
