- 1/2 green pepper, chopped (1)
- 1/2 onion, finely chopped (1)
- 2 tablespoons butter (4)
- 2 tablespoons flour (4)
- 1 teaspoon salt (2)
- 1/4 teaspoon mustard, dry (1/2)
- 1 cup evaporated milk (2)
- 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs (1)
- 1 tablespoon butter (2)
- 2 cups whole kernel corn, drained (4)
- 1 beaten egg (2)
- 1/2 cup buttered cracker crumbs (1) see note
How To Make scalloped corn, geradine recipe

Step 1Cook pepper and onions in 2 T butter, for 5 min stirring constantly. Add flour mixed with seasonings and stir till blended. Add milk and cook until thick. Brown bread in 1 T butter and add with corn and egg. Blend all ingredients together. Put into greased baking dish. Cover with melted butter with crushed cracker crumbs. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 min.

Step 2NOTE: there is no butter listed with the cracker crumbs, which translates into additional melted butter with the crushed cracker crumbs being their "buttered cracker crumbs".
