savory squash casserole

Most squash casserole I've ever had is very simple; squash, crackers, cheese. I found this recipe and changed it a little. It turned out pretty good. This makes a big 9x13 pan full since I usually feed a crowd.

Ingredients
- 3 pounds sliced yellow squash
- 2 boxes chicken flavored stuffing (i.e. stovetop)
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 large onion, diced
- 1/2 stick margerine
- 1 package shredded cheddar (3 cup bag)
How To Make savory squash casserole

Step 1Boil squash till slightly tender, drain.

Step 2Sautee diced onions till tender in magerine.

Step 3Mix together soups, sour cream, onions, 1.5 cups of the cheese & onions/magerine.

Step 4Stir in stuffing mixes & squash.

Step 5Spread in 9x13 pan.

Step 6Top with remaining cheese.

Step 7Bake at 350 till cheese on top is browned a little.
