This is for a large crowd, it will make 5 lasagna pans. I cook for 3 or four families every year, and they all love it.

bulk sausage
1 lb
italian pork sausage
loaf rye bread cut in one inch peices and toasted
loaf sourdough bread the same as rye
pone cornbread the same as the other
loaf cranberry- walnut bread same as the others
1 large
onion chopped
3 stick
1/2 lb
jumbo rasins
1 tsp
sage, dried to taste
1 stick
1to 2 pt
poultry stock
salt and pepper to taste
1 Tbsp
thyme, dried
2 box
uncle ben's long grain and wild rice, precooked rice
2 lb
turkey meat
8 oz
mushrooms sliced

How to Make Sausage-Wild Rice Fruity Dressing


  • 1Preheat oven to 425 degrees.Chop onion and celery add to 8 quart pot with 1 Tablespoon olive oil and sweat.
    add sausage and brown, drain excess oil
    Open can of apples and slice through them with a case knife, then pour in the sausage mixture, also add cherries,raisins,mushrooms, and some of the broth.
  • 2Place breads in a bowl large enough to be able to mix in. then add the rice and stir. Add Turkey meat if using.
    Add meat-fruit mixture and stir again
    Add broth till wet through.
  • 3Pour into pans and bake till heated through and browned.
    You cans also cover with foil and freeze for later
