sandy's chopped broccoli casserole
This recipe is a little bit different from mine, and because of the Cheez-its, my daughter was happy. In the mother in law's version, she can't use mushroom soup so she substitutes with cream of chicken or cream of celery (which would make it vegan), and she omits the almonds. So make this according to your personal preferences, and watch it disapear!

- 2 - 8 oz pkgs frozen chopped broccoli
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup (i used 2 cans broccoli cheese soup)
- 8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, shredded (2 cups)
- 1/2 cup mayo (not miracle whip)
- 1 cup chopped cheez-its
- 1 package sliced almonds
- - salt and pepper

Step 1Cook broccoli according to package directions. Drain off water. Add soup, cheese, mayo, salt and pepper. Put into a 9x13 sprayed with PAM. Place crackers on top, then the almonds. Bake at 375, uncovered, 15-20 min.

Step 2Easter 2023 I baked at 350 degrees 30 min, same temp of hashbrown casserole.
