Mom never measured anything for this dish, it is a matter of taste. I have duplicated hers everytime just by watching her. My recipe is made in a 9x11 baking dish. You will have to adjust for a smaller dish.

    plain pork & beans (enough to fit your dish)
  • 3/4 c
    packed brown sugar (or to your taste)
  • ·
    thumb size dollop of prepared mustard
  • 1/2-3/4 c
    chopped onion
  • 2-3 Tbsp
  • 2-3 dash(es)
    worchestershire sauce
  • ·
    bacon slices to cover entire dish

How to Make Pork & Bean Casserole (a.k.a. Mom's Baked Beans)


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Mix first 6 ingredients and taste. Adjust to your liking.
  3. Put mixture into dish and place bacon strips on top.
  4. Bake uncovered for 45-60 minutes. ENJOY!
