pineapple cheese casserole

I had this a few years back for the first time and really liked it. It's a good choice for something different as a side dish.

Ingredients

  • 2 20 0z cans pineapple tidbits, drain and reserve juice
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 5 tablespoons reserved pineapple juice
  • 1 8 oz packages shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup ritz type crackers, crushed
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 stick butter, melted

How To Make pineapple cheese casserole

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly butter a casserole baking dish.
  • Step 2
    Combine flour and pineapple juice, mix well. In a bowl stir flour mixture into the pineapple. Pour into the casserole dish.
  • Step 3
    Combine the cheese, crackers, sugar and melted butter. Sprinkle this topping over the pineapple in the casserole dish.
  • Step 4
    Bake for 40-45 minutes till bubbly and browned some on top.
