  • 6 c
    water
  • 1 1/2 c
    grits
  • 2 Tbsp
    olive oil, extra virgin
  • 1 small
    onions, vidalia, peeled
  • 4 Tbsp
    butter, cold
  • 1 1/4 c
    parmigiano-reggiano, grated
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    pepper
  • 2 large
    eggs

How to Make Parmesan-Vidalia Grits Bake

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 400. Boil water ; add grits, stir. Cook 25 min. Saute onion in olive oil. Add onion, butter, 1 cup parmesan, salt and pepper to grits. Cool 20 min.
  2. Add beaten eggs. Pour into greased 2 qt. dish. Sprinkle 1/4 cup parmesan on top. Bake 40 to 50 min.
