macaroni, elbow, dry
2 c
cheese, sharp cheddar, shredded
2 c
cheese, colby jack, shredded
8 oz
velvetta, cubed
1 stick
butter, divided
1/4 c
all purpose flour
2 c
1/2 pt
heavy whipping cream
2 c
bread crumbs, panko
2 Tbsp
parsley, dried
salt and pepper

How to Make Panko-Crusted Easy Cheesy Macaroni Casserole


  • 1HEAT oven to 350°F.

    Cook macaroni according to directions. Drain and rinse.
  • 2MELT butter in medium saucepan on medium heat. Whisk in flour; cook 2 min., stirring constantly. Gradually stir in milk and heavy whipping cream. Bring to boil; cook and stir 3 to 5 min. or until thickened. Add VELVEETA; and other cheese. Cook 3-5 mins or until melted, stirring frequently. Stir in macaroni. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • 3SPOON into casserole dish. Melt 1/2 stick of butter in microwave. Stir in bread crumbs and parsley. Sprinkle bread crumb mixture over casserole. Garnish with additional parsley.
  • 4Bake for 20-25 mins or until golden brown.
