Ingredients

  • 1 pound macaroni, elbow, dry
  • 2 cups cheese, sharp cheddar, shredded
  • 2 cups cheese, colby jack, shredded
  • 8 ounces velvetta, cubed
  • 1 stick butter, divided
  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 pint heavy whipping cream
  • 2 cups bread crumbs, panko
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, dried
  • - salt and pepper

How To Make panko-crusted easy cheesy macaroni casserole

  • Step 1
    HEAT oven to 350°F. Cook macaroni according to directions. Drain and rinse.
  • Step 2
    MELT butter in medium saucepan on medium heat. Whisk in flour; cook 2 min., stirring constantly. Gradually stir in milk and heavy whipping cream. Bring to boil; cook and stir 3 to 5 min. or until thickened. Add VELVEETA; and other cheese. Cook 3-5 mins or until melted, stirring frequently. Stir in macaroni. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Step 3
    SPOON into casserole dish. Melt 1/2 stick of butter in microwave. Stir in bread crumbs and parsley. Sprinkle bread crumb mixture over casserole. Garnish with additional parsley.
  • Step 4
    Bake for 20-25 mins or until golden brown.
