not your mother's cheese cauliflower

This cheesy cauliflower is my invention and it is extremely rich, so please don't try to finish it in one sitting. If you do, don't say I didn't warn you. It is definitely not like my mother's version! 08-28-2019

Ingredients

  • 1 medium head cauliflower, washed and cut into med. sized florets
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/3 cup parmesan/romano cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

How To Make not your mother's cheese cauliflower

  • Step 1
    Place cauliflower florets into a large pot of boiling water, bring to a second boil and cover.
  • Step 2
    Reduce heat and cook cauliflower about 10 minutes or until tender. Drain and return to pan or to a 2-qt. casserole dish.
  • Cauliflower and cheese simmering until cheese is melted.
    Step 3
    Stir in cheeses, butter, cream and seasonings, mashing cauliflower with spoon as you go.
  • Not Your Mother's Cauliflower Cheese ready to eat!
    Step 4
    Allow mixture to simmer over low heat until cheeses are melted and desired consistency is reached.
