Ingredients

  • CASSEROLE
  • 2 cups crushed Doritos, divided
  • 3 fresh jalapeno peppers, seeded and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cans cut green beans, drained
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 - packet dry onion soup mix
  • 4 teaspoons green pepper sauce
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Mexican cheese blend
  • CHUNKY NACHO CHEESE SAUCE
  • 1 tablespoon margarine
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup half and half
  • 2 cups cubed processed American cheese
  • 1 jar picante sauce

How To Make nacho green bean casserole

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Step 2
    Coat the bottom and sides of a 3-quart casserole dish with cooking spray. Add 1 cup crushed Doritos and sliced jalapeno peppers; mix well.
  • Step 3
    Heat olive oil in a large, deep skillet over medium heat. Add green beans and sliced red bell pepper. Saute for 5 minutes or until tender.
  • Step 4
    Stir in taco seasoning, onion soup mix, green pepper sauce, and grated parmesan cheese. Remove from heat.
  • Step 5
    Spoon into a prepared casserole dish and spread evenly.
  • Step 6
    Heat the margarine in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  • Step 7
    Combine heavy cream, half and half, cubed American cheese, and picante sauce. Stir well and bring it to a boil for 5 minutes until thickened. Remove from heat.
  • Step 8
    Pour over the green bean mixture and mix well. Sprinkle with shredded Mexican cheese blend and remaining crushed Doritos.
  • Step 9
    Bake for 25 minutes or until the cheese is melted. Cool for 10 minutes.
