Ingredients
- CASSEROLE
- 2 cups crushed Doritos, divided
- 3 fresh jalapeno peppers, seeded and sliced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cans cut green beans, drained
- 1 medium red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1 - packet dry onion soup mix
- 4 teaspoons green pepper sauce
- 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded Mexican cheese blend
- CHUNKY NACHO CHEESE SAUCE
- 1 tablespoon margarine
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup half and half
- 2 cups cubed processed American cheese
- 1 jar picante sauce
How To Make nacho green bean casserole

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2Coat the bottom and sides of a 3-quart casserole dish with cooking spray. Add 1 cup crushed Doritos and sliced jalapeno peppers; mix well.

Step 3Heat olive oil in a large, deep skillet over medium heat. Add green beans and sliced red bell pepper. Saute for 5 minutes or until tender.

Step 4Stir in taco seasoning, onion soup mix, green pepper sauce, and grated parmesan cheese. Remove from heat.

Step 5Spoon into a prepared casserole dish and spread evenly.

Step 6Heat the margarine in a medium saucepan over medium heat.

Step 7Combine heavy cream, half and half, cubed American cheese, and picante sauce. Stir well and bring it to a boil for 5 minutes until thickened. Remove from heat.

Step 8Pour over the green bean mixture and mix well. Sprinkle with shredded Mexican cheese blend and remaining crushed Doritos.

Step 9Bake for 25 minutes or until the cheese is melted. Cool for 10 minutes.
