Ingredients
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/4 pound bacon, cut into 1" pieces
- 16 ounces canned kidney beans
- 16 ounces frozen lima beans
- 16 ounces canned pork and beans
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons vinegar - apple cider or red wine are best
- 3/4 cup ketchup
How To Make mom's easy baked beans

Step 1Brown bacon in Dutch oven or saute pan, and remove. Saute onion and garlic in bacon grease and return bacon to pan. Pour off any excess grease.

Step 2If using Dutch oven, add remaining ingredients to pan with bacon mixture and stir to combine.

Step 3Bake, covered, at 350 degrees for 1 hour

Step 4If you are not using a Dutch oven, combine all ingredients in oven-proof 3 qt. casserole and bake as directed.
