mama-n-em's cheese grits casserole
This one has been around a long time in our family...but we never get tired of it. Randy, Ellen, Omega, Granddaddy. Granddaddy's 90th birthday party at the Hamilton Warehouse in Dubach.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups grits (not instant)
- 6 cups water
- 1 stick butter or margarine
- 1 - roll garlic cheese
- 2 - eggs
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated
- 3/4 cup milk
How To Make mama-n-em's cheese grits casserole

Step 1Prepare grits as directed on box using the 6 cups of water. When they are cooked add the following.

Step 2Add 1 stick of butter or magarine and stir in roll of garlic cheese until it is melted and mixed.

Step 3Add 1 cup of eggs and milk (use two eggs and add milk to make 1 cup).

Step 4Top with grated cheddar cheese. Cook in greased dish for 30 minutes at 350.

Step 5Note: This is great with homegrown mayters, peas, squash and a little hot water cornbread.
