Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c
    grits (not instant)
  • 6 c
    water
  • 1 stick
    butter or margarine
  • 1
    roll garlic cheese
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 c
    sharp cheddar cheese, grated
  • 3/4 c
    milk

How to Make Mama-N-Em's Cheese Grits Casserole

Step-by-Step

  1. Prepare grits as directed on box using the 6 cups of water. When they are cooked add the following.
  2. Add 1 stick of butter or magarine and stir in roll of garlic cheese until it is melted and mixed.
  3. Add 1 cup of eggs and milk (use two eggs and add milk to make 1 cup).
  4. Top with grated cheddar cheese. Cook in greased dish for 30 minutes at 350.
  5. Note: This is great with homegrown mayters, peas, squash and a little hot water cornbread.
